Stop upgrading all your hero gear equally. To win more battles in Kingshot, you must focus your resources (Forgehammers and Mythic materials) on just three core heroes, upgrading them in a strict priority order: Infantry Gear first, Archer Gear second, and Cavalry Gear last.

When rolling for stats, follow the Golden Rule: prioritize Health for Infantry and Lethality for Archers and Cavalry.

Introduction

In the overarching combat math of Kingshot, battles are resolved sequentially. Your Infantry acts as the frontline "meat shield." If your frontline crumbles, your high-damage dealer backline is instantly exposed. Therefore, dynamic progression depends entirely on how long your frontline survives.

Why Infantry Comes First

In the Kingshot combat engine, battles are resolved sequentially. Your Infantry acts as the frontline "meat shield." If your Infantry falls, your Archers and Cavalry are exposed and will be wiped out rapidly.

By heavily investing in Infantry gear first, you extend the survival time of your frontline. The longer your Infantry stays alive, the more turns your high-damage Archers get to attack.

The Upgrade Roadmap

Do not spread your resources thin across a dozen heroes. Pick your main three heroes (one of each troop type) and follow this exact upgrade sequence:

The Infantry Wall

Focus: Armor and Gloves

Target Stat: Infantry Health

Pour all your initial resources into maxing out your primary Infantry hero's gear. Health is mathematically superior to Defense in Kingshot because it applies to a larger base stat pool.

The Archer Cannon

Focus: Helmets and Boots

Target Stat: Archer Lethality

Once your Infantry wall is stable, build your damage engine. Archers are your primary damage dealers in almost every formation (especially Bear Hunt). Lethality is crucial because it allows your troops to punch through high-level enemy defense stats.

The Cavalry Flank

Focus: Helmets and Boots

Target Stat: Cavalry Lethality

Cavalry upgrades should only happen when your Infantry and Archer gear hits an upgrade wall (like waiting for truegold dust or specific mythic materials). Cavalry provides excellent burst damage against enemy Archers, but they cannot carry a fight if your frontline is dead.

Mastery Forging and Progression Limits

When you unlock Mastery Forging at level 20, do not force a single piece of gear to maximum level while ignoring the rest of the set. Keep all six gear pieces roughly at the same tier to trigger set bonuses before pushing your primary pieces (Infantry Armor/Archer Boots) to the next major milestone.

Summary: A Level 11 Infantry set paired with Level 5 Archer and Cavalry sets will mathematically outperform three Level 7 sets across the board.
