Kingshot Strategy Guide: The Ultimate Gen 1 Arena Tier List

The definitive guide for the 5v5 Arena and Conquest mode, focusing exclusively on the Generation 1 roster.
In the earliest days of your Kingshot journey (when only Gen 1 heroes are accessible), Arena combat dictates a much slower, more deliberate pace. Epic-tier (purple) heroes remain exceptionally viable. The defining strategy of this era is straightforward: construct a massive defensive wall to buy your primary damage dealers enough time to charge their ultimate skills.
đź‘‘ Tier S: Gods of the Arena (Gen 1 Meta)
These heroes absolutely dominate the early game. If you have them unlocked, they are mandatory inclusions in your lineup.
- Amadeus (The Eradicator): The undisputed king of the Gen 1 Arena. His ultimate skill, "Frenzied Slash," delivers colossal Area of Effect (AoE) damage. Against players relying on Epic heroes, a well-invested Amadeus can practically wipe an entire enemy squad in a single devastating strike.
- Howard (The Impassable Wall): Despite being an Epic (purple) hero, Howard is undeniably the best Arena tank in the early game. His active shields absorb massive amounts of damage, protecting your team far more reliably than most early Mythic options.
⚔️ Tier A: The Team Pillars
Outstanding heroes that round out your formation, providing an optimal balance of crowd control and sustained damage.
- Chenko: The early-game DPS queen. Her cone-based attack, "Burst Fire," is incredibly lethal. Position her safely behind Howard or Jabel so she can barrage the enemy frontline without interruption.
- Helga: An excellent starting Mythic tank. Her greatest asset in the Arena is her reliable stun capability, which routinely interrupts enemy attacks and swings the momentum in your favor.
- Jabel: A remarkably solid frontline choice. While he lacks Howard’s shields or Helga’s stuns, his baseline Mythic stats allow him to absorb punishing amounts of damage as a pure meat shield.
🛡️ Tier B: Solid F2P Choices
These heroes get the job done for Free-to-Play commanders but should be the first candidates for replacement once you pull superior options.
- Diana: Extremely popular in the early stages. She buffs her own attack speed and provides moderate AoE damage, actively helping to whittle down the opposing team's overall health pool.
- Gordon: A unique case for Gen 1! While he becomes completely obsolete in later Arena generations, early-game fights are slow enough for him to charge his energy and deploy his healing. He is incredibly useful during your first few weeks of play.
❌ Tier C: Unsuited for 5v5 (Even in Gen 1)
Do not waste your valuable resources upgrading the Expedition equipment for these heroes; they will not win you Arena battles.
- Saul: Despite his Mythic rarity, his Expedition skills are overwhelmingly mediocre, lacking both crowd control and burst AoE damage.
- Amane & Yeonwoo: While they are absolute must-haves for Alliance rallies, they are paper-thin targets in the Arena. Lacking any AoE damage, they will die instantly under pressure.
- Quinn: Strictly a single-target combatant. In an Arena meta defined by sweeping AoE attacks that drop five heroes simultaneously, her combat style is far too slow and inefficient.
- Fahd: An Epic infantry hero whose basic skills are simply too weak to compete with Howard or the Mythic frontline tanks.
