Here is the Arena Tier List (5v5 / Expedition mode) combining Generation 1, 2, 3, and 4 heroes.

With the arrival of Generation 4, the Arena meta experiences a massive power leap. Rosa and Margot become the absolute assassins of the backline, while Alcar establishes himself as the new titan of the frontline.

👑 Tier S: Gods of the Arena (Gen 4 Meta)

These heroes form the most powerful and destructive composition at this stage of the game.

  • Alcar (Gen 4) [The Ultimate Tank]: He is the absolute wall of this generation. His Gen 4 stats and survival capabilities allow him to absorb the assaults of previous generations without flinching. He advantageously replaces any other tank on your frontline.
  • Rosa (Gen 4) & Margot (Gen 4) [The AoE Annihilators]: They completely redefine the notion of DPS (Damage Per Second) in the arena. Their colossal raw statistics and attacks melt opposing teams. If they trigger their expedition skills, the enemy backline simply disappears.

⚔️ Tier A: Excellent & Highly Competitive

These heroes remain exceptional and are indispensable for rounding out your team alongside Gen 4 powerhouses.

  • Eric (Gen 3) [The Veteran Tank]: Although Alcar is the new king, Eric remains an elite tank. Fielding Alcar and Eric together on the frontline forms an almost impassable bulwark for players who haven't secured Gen 4 DPS heroes yet.
  • Marlin (Gen 2) [The Master of Control]: He is aging extremely well in the Arena! His heavy Area of Effect (AoE) damage and, above all, his powerful stuns (crowd control) make him incredibly dangerous, even when facing Gen 4 opponents.
  • Amadeus (Gen 1): Still viable on one strict condition: he must be completely maxed out (5 stars and fully upgraded exclusive equipment). If appropriately invested, his ultimate skill continues to inflict massive damage to the entire opposing team.

🛡️ Tier B: Veterans, Supports, and F2P Kings

This tier houses Gen 2/3 Mythic heroes that serve as transitional pieces, along with the best Free-to-Play (Epic/Purple) options.

  • Petra (Gen 3), Jaeger (Gen 3), & Hilde (Gen 2): Excellent Mythic heroes with solid baseline statistics, but they simply cannot compete with the brutal, destructive impact of Rosa or Margot in 5v5 combat.
  • Chenko (Gen 1): Still holds the title of best Epic DPS. Her cone-based attack ("Burst Fire") remains highly useful as long as she is well protected by a sturdy frontline.
  • Howard (Gen 1) [The F2P God]: The undisputed king of Epic tanks. His shields are vital for Free-to-Play commanders. He absorbs damage far better than most heroes of his rarity.
  • Zoé (Gen 2): An excellent backup F2P tank. Her shielding mechanics help her support the frontline effectively if you haven't managed to pull Alcar or Eric.
  • Diana (Gen 1): Remains a strong option for F2P players thanks to her reliable AoE damage output.
  • Jabel & Helga (Gen 1): Their Gen 1 baseline statistics are starting to become seriously insufficient to survive the overwhelming assaults of Generation 4.

❌ Tier C: Unsuited for 5v5 (Gen 4 Meta)

Using these heroes against optimized teams will almost certainly guarantee a loss.

  • Saul (Gen 1): His skills do not carry enough impact to turn the tide of a 5v5 battle compared to newer options.
  • Amane & Yeonwoo (Gen 1): While excellent for Alliance Rallies, they are absolute paper targets in the Arena. They will die almost instantly when faced with the AoE attacks of Rosa or Margot..
  • Gordon, Quinn, & Fahd (Gen 1): Their Gen 1 Epic statistics are completely obsolete. Quinn is strictly a single-target attacker (making her far too slow), and Gordon will be pulverized long before he can cast a single heal.
