The arrival of Generation 3 has significantly shaken up Rally Leader compositions in the Bear Trap, introducing powerhouses like Petra and Jaeger. However, when it comes to joining a rally as a "Joiner," Generation 1 heroes still maintain their absolute supremacy.

If you want to maximize your alliance's damage and climb the leaderboards, understanding the distinct roles between leading and joining is crucial. Here is the definitive tier list for combining Gen 1, Gen 2, and Gen 3 heroes!

👑 Tier List: Rally Leaders (Captains) – Gen 1 to Gen 3

With the introduction of Generation 3, the meta places an even heavier emphasis on specific "widgets" and troop types—particularly archers.

Tier Heroes Strategic Analysis
S Petra, Amadeus, Marlin, Helga (Maxed) Petra (Gen 3): The absolute must-have hero of this generation! She is the first Cavalry hero to receive an attack-oriented rally widget, and she incredibly buffs both Archers and Cavalry.
Amadeus (Gen 1) & Marlin (Gen 2): Remain staples in the current optimal Gen 3 composition. (The Ultimate Comp: Amadeus, Petra, Marlin).
Helga (Gen 1 - Maxed): Interestingly, a fully maxed Helga (5 stars + maxed widget) actually outperforms Amadeus in the Gen 3 era. In this specific configuration, she boasts two Lethality widgets and one Attack widget.
A Hilde Hilde (Gen 2): While she gets replaced by Petra in the ultimate end-game composition, Hilde remains a fantastic alternative for boosting your global attack.
B Jaeger, Zoe, Jabel Jaeger (Gen 3): Boasts better base stats than Marlin (Gen 2). However, Marlin remains the superior choice for leading rallies because Jaeger's widget is designed for Garrison (Defense), not offense.
Zoe (Gen 2) & Jabel (Gen 1): Both remain highly reliable and solid options for Free-to-Play (F2P) players putting together their leader marches.
C / Trash Eric Eric (Gen 3): Exceptional hero with massive stats, but he is purely a defensive/tank hero designed for Garrison duty. He is completely useless for maximizing offensive damage against the Bear. Leave him at home!

🤝 Tier List: Rally Joiners (Reinforcements) – Gen 1 to Gen 3

Mechanic Reminder: When you join a rally, only the very first skill (top right) of your first hero applies to the rally. The ultimate goal is to boost Lethality and Attack.

Tier Heroes Strategic Analysis
S Amadeus, Chenko, Yeonwoo, Amane The Unrivaled Essentials. Generation 1 still wears the crown for Joiners. Amadeus, Chenko, and Yeonwoo offer a maximum flat Lethality bonus (+25%). Amane provides a +25% Attack buff that utilizes a different damage ID, allowing her buff to stack multiplicatively with the others for optimal damage output.
A Hilde Hilde (Gen 2): Hilde brings a constant +15% Attack boost to the table. She is an excellent fallback option if you do not have an S-Tier hero available.
B Marlin, Zoe, Petra, Jaeger The RNG Factor. While these are incredible overall heroes, their damage-boosting skills as Joiners depend on a probability percentage (RNG). Because chance-based skills are calculated every turn and do not stack efficiently, it is highly recommended to have only one of these heroes per rally. Having too many will actively lower your alliance's global score.
Trash Eric, Jabel, Saul, Helga The Saboteurs. Heroes like Eric, Jabel, Saul, and Helga have expedition skills focused entirely on defense. Since the Bear never attacks you, Defense is a completely dead stat. Placing them as your Joiner brings zero value and actively penalizes your alliance's potential score.

Strategic Takeaways

  • Optimal Leading Duo: Deploying Petra and Amadeus ensures high stat weighting and maximum multiplier synergies.
  • Reinforcement Discipline: Keep your S-tier flat joiners active. If your lineup is chance-based, replace them with Chenko/Yeonwoo/Amane immediately.
