The arrival of Generation 5 does not drastically change the meta of this event. The best heroes from previous generations (especially Gen 1 and Gen 4) remain the most optimal for inflicting maximum damage on the Bear.

If you want to maximize your alliance's damage, here is the detailed Bear Trap tier list combining Gen 1 through Gen 5 heroes!

Meta Stabilization

Generation 5 acts as a period of meta stabilization for the Bear Trap. Because the new roster focuses heavily on specialized PvP defense and Arena settings, older offensive powerhouses (especially Gen 4 archers and Gen 1 joiners) maintain their absolute dominance in this PvE damage-check event. Let's break down where the heroes fall in the ranks.

👑 Tier List: Rally Leaders (Captains) – Gen 1 to Gen 5

Tier Heroes Strategic Analysis
S Rosa, Margot, Amadeus, Petra Optimal Lineup: The optimal Generation 4 composition (Amadeus, Petra, Rosa) remains the absolute strongest for Gen 5.
Amadeus (Gen 1): He remains a much better Leader choice than the new Gen 5 infantry, as he retains three pure damage-dealing skills.
Rosa & Margot (Gen 4): They still dominate the meta thanks to their offensive widgets and powerful buffs for archers.
A Thrud, Helga Thrud (Gen 5): Thrud brings excellent offensive synergy to the table because she can buff both infantry and archer damage by 15%. She is an outstanding choice to lead mixed rallies.
Helga (Gen 1): She remains a viable alternative if she is highly upgraded and heavily invested in.
B Zoe, Jabel Zoe (Gen 2) & Jabel (Gen 1): Zoe remains the absolute best infantry alternative for Free-to-Play (F2P) players, surpassing even the new Gen 5 infantry hero for this specific event.
C / Trash Vivian, Long Fei, Alcar, Eric Long Fei (Gen 5): Has two defensive skills and only one damage-dealing skill, which completely outclasses him against Amadeus and makes him inferior even to Zoe for the Bear Trap.
Vivian (Gen 5): An excellent hero for the arena, but her abilities and widgets are not suited at all for maximizing damage during the Bear Hunt.

🤝 Tier List: Rally Joiners (Reinforcements) – Gen 1 to Gen 5

Mechanic Reminder: As a "Joiner" in a rally, only the very first skill (top right) of your first hero applies to the march.

Tier Heroes Strategic Analysis
S Amadeus, Chenko, Yeonwoo Flat Lethality. Absolutely no evolution here! When placed in the primary position of your march, they provide the absolute maximum flat buff of +25% Lethality. They are undisputed.
A Thrud, Margot, Amane Stackable Attack Buffs. Thrud (Gen 5): Makes a very strong entry here because her first skill directly increases archer and infantry damage by 15%.
Margot & Amane: Provide excellent damage and attack bonuses that use different identifiers, allowing them to stack perfectly (multiplicatively) with the Lethality buffs from Tier S.
B Rosa, Petra, Marlin, Zoe The RNG Factor. The damage-boosting skills of these heroes still depend on a probability percentage (RNG) to trigger. They are good, but far less reliable and run the risk of not stacking effectively if too many players in the rally use them.
Trash Long Fei, Alcar, Eric, Saul, Jabel Useless for the Bear. Long Fei (Gen 5): His first skill ("Lucky Protection") focuses on reducing damage taken by 50%. Because the Bear never fights back, this skill (just like the defensive skills of Alcar or Eric) is a completely dead stat. Placing these heroes in the first position will actively waste a precious buff slot for your alliance.

Strategic Takeaways

  • Frontline Continuity: Maintain your Gen 4 optimal leader settings. Do not swap Amadeus for Long Fei.
  • New Joiner Power: Thrud is a top-tier joiner addition. Slot her immediately behind your S-Tier Lethality reinforcements to boost mixed troop stats.
